The only person who can say whether it's worth it to you or not, is you. It still uses the emotion system and you still have loading screens. LOLĪt the end of the day, though, it's still TS4. lol Those snooty ???? don't seem to show up for anyone. Protesting starts out slow, as it should, only an old lady in a nightgown paid me any mind when my sim started lol, but as she gained ranks in her career more and more people converged on her rallies. They were a lot more fun than the base game career options, because I can choose to work from home, which is totally awesome for all the single moms and dads in the sim universe. The 3 new careers are decent careers (my sims don't normally have "real" jobs, but I did check these out for the sake of checking them out). This EP is a wonderful step in the right direction in regard to deviant simming gameplay. There are a plethora of ways to make your sim's lives perfect with the EP too, but what I was most concerned about are the ways to make their lives imperfect, as that's an area I felt TS4 has suffered in. I actually fear for my sims lives for the first time in TS4, which is freaking awesome and what I have been wanting! I love the food death with the Pufferfish Nigiri (It has killed two of my sims, which is awesome!), and the environment is a lot more dangerous as well, especially when the Cursed trait makes your sim dazed and you have to repair your Needs TLC apartment (a few sims have been electrocuted lol). (Haven't tried Gremlins, but I suspect I'd enjoy that one too). I love the heck out of the Needs TLC lot trait and Filthy, Cursed, Haunted as well. They did a great job at adding a very large assortment of themes for this. Graffiti is a fun pastime, and I can't wait to have teens that run around defacing murals.
A lot more sims than the ones pictured here can crowd onto that court (I once had two full clubs tossing balls into one hoop) and that's a nice way to implement this feature imo. They really paid careful attention to it and it shows.īasketball is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. They did a really nice job on the singing skill. Karaoke and the new singing skill are probably my favorite pastimes in the game currently.
The human statues and options to sing while playing a musical instrument is wonderful synergy between two skill types. They're not life changing and I rather wish they'd have done more with this feature, but I do enjoy them a lot more than I thought I would.Īlso really love the street performer additions. :wiggles eyebrows:)Įach festival adds some cute ways to skill up, meet new sims, and snag some festival only gear. (You can stop by in a towel anytime, Sirius. Neighbors I've given keys to stop in and hang out randomly, which really makes the game feel alive and adds some awesome immersion. I've never had such a gritty experience in a vanilla sims game before, and I love it!īeing able to get by selling found objects on the flea market table: My builder side wept over that, but I'm quite enamored with the actual game play and the environments my sims can now enjoy. I'm seriously in love with the pack, my only major complaint is we can't build our own apartments. Regarding the objects for your sims and the Construction mode, the Sims 4 - City Living offers you a colorful mix inspired by various cultures of the Asian continent.I freaking love it, as it finally added some much needed consequence and grit to TS4 world. New careers are available too, like politician, art critic, food critic, or influencer on social networks. The Sims 4 City Living creates new and meaningful gameplay on the Sims formula, and is the best expansion The Sims 4 has seen to date. You can also participate in various street activities, such as street art or basketball. Designed as limited-time events, the festivals can have several themes, and there won't be a shortage of activities on the geek festival, the love festival, or any other in San Myshuno.
In addition to this new type of home for your sims, The Sim 4 - City Living invites you to take part in festivals. In addition to that, you can give the key to your apartment to a friend, but be careful and choose wisely, because it could turn into a problem for your privacy. But that's not all, you will also have neighbors who can become your best friends as well as your worst enemies. From small apartments to penthouses, you are the one to decide where to live depending on your possibilities, since you will still have to pay the rent.
Take complete control of your citys fully integrated transportation system and watch them share and complete for resources. The main one is the possibility of living in apartments, but also of building and furnishing them to your liking. In SimCity 4, the best-selling simulation game and most expansive SimCity ever, you create the most massive region of cities ever, with a farming town, bedroom community, high-tech commercial center and industrial backbone. This expansion brings a host of new gameplay features in addition to bringing a new city world to the game. The Sims 4 - City Living lets you live in the city, in the world of San Myshuno.
